Determine if your dental and vision problems are instead billed under your medical insurance

The US health insurance is complicated because you often have a separate medical, dental, and vision plan. And each of your three insurances are usually from three different insurance companies!

They each cover different medical conditions and procedures. The table below roughly describes what would be covered by each insurance type. This is important because each insurance type has a different deductible, co-pay, and coinsurance amount! Please ask your doctor’s office before you go.
